Simple Ways to Beat Cold Weather and Joint Discomfort

When the cold season comes knocking, you cringe. Why? Is it because it comes with joint discomfort and pain that you wish you could avoid? From pressure changes, blood flow issues, stiffness to lubrication issues that seem to cause the pain, all you want to know is the solution. Well, here are some:

  1. Workout More
Yes, it might seem like the best time to cuddle up and stay inactive, but you need to exercise. Why? It will help you to maintain flexibility and lubrication in your joints.

While at it, you have to do it right to get the most benefits from it. Dashing out in the cold will put your body in a shock mode, and the result will be more pain. So? Warm up before you head out into the cold and move that body. Whether you are running, walking or hitting the CrossFit gym, warming up is key. After the workout, you will need to try some cool down moves to smooth out the transition. Who said that working out has to be literal? You can exercise indoors.

  2. Eat Your Relief
Basically, everything that happens to your body has a lot to do with what you eat. Lucky enough, when you eat right, you can help ease or eliminate the joint pain these cold months bring. If you care about your joints, then you will need to practice mindful eating. Greens on your plate will deliver vitamin K, wild caught fish (and our organic Wild Microalgae®) provide your body with Omega 3 fatty acids and coloring up your plate with foods rich in Vitamin C can help to reduce the pain.

Once your nutrition is optimal, you could go a step further by incorporating dietary supplements to help you boost the effect. Vitamin D supplements will help with your bones and calcium absorption. Flex from New Earth will be your perfect choice for cartilage support, joint flexibility and all matters regarding the health of your joints.

  3. Befriend the Water
Water will come in handy in two ways. First, you will need to drink lots of it to stay hydrated and second; you can simply soak in warm water for a little relief. If you swim in warm water, you will benefit from the exercise and the warmth.

Whatever the weather brings, don’t let the cold season ruin your fun with joint pains when you can find simple solutions and relief. Try them out and leave weather prediction to the experts; not your joints. You know the enemy, get the weapons right and fight the pain.
