Blending Healthy Fast Food

Did you know fast food can be healthy? We are not talking about your typical drive through that serves burgers and fries. We are talking about speed. Our busy lives demand nutritious food that can be prepared quickly and with little mess. So what is this healthy fast food we speak of? It’s a smoothie bowl.

Prepared in a matter of minutes with the power of your blender and some measuring cups, smoothie bowls are the perfect solution when you need a quick, substantial, nutritious meal. These beautiful creations can be an excellent source of healthy fats, proteins, carbohydrates, and fiber when created with the right ingredients. Keep in mind, your smoothie bowl creation is only as healthy as each individual ingredient.

Beautiful smoothie bowl creations filled our Instagram over the last month. We recreated and tasted each and every one of them and came up with a winner for our #summersmoothiechallenge.

Liza Pedraza, @extremevitality on Instagram, blended up a not only beautiful but delicious smoothie bowl featuring the highly nutritious Essentials Blend Plus by New Earth. So, how exactly was this smoothie bowl created? We have the recipe for you!

Create your base by blending sambazon açaí, pineapple, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, mango, spinach, kale, and finally Essentials Blend Plus from New Earth. Once the base is thoroughly blended with a smooth finish, pour it into a bowl and top with hemp seeds, chia seeds, banana, mango, blueberries, raspberries, granola, shredded coconut, and peanut butter.

That’s a whole lotta nutrient loaded ingredients in one meal!

As you prepare your next smoothie bowl, whether it be this delicious creation by @extremevitality or your own, keep portion size in mind. It can be easy to keep throwing in ingredients and end up with more smoothie bowl than you desire.

Although the summer smoothie challenge has come to an end. We invite you to keep sharing your smoothie and smoothie bowl creations with us on Instagram. Simply tag @newearthco in your post when you add our organic Wild Microalgae to your creations!
