Travel like a Pro

School is out for the summer which means it is officially travel season.

You’ve spent weeks, maybe even months, planning your summer vacations and destinations. The only thing standing between you and your next adventure is getting there. Yes, dreaded travel. We are talking about hours on your bum with limited movement confined in a small space. This dreaded travel time often leaves you feeling sluggish and lethargic, and that’s no way to start a vacation. Here is our list of must-have items that will leave you feeling your best, considering the circumstances, for your on-the-go bag.

Nourish your Body
Early mornings, late evenings and limited access to quality food are typically associated with travel. You want to feel your best when you reach your destination, not be plagued with a food hangover. The truth is, depending on your travel situation it’s not always realistic to pack your favorite fruits and veggies along for the ride. So what can you do?

Supplement. Throw in several packs of Essentials to help ensure you are fueling your body and feeding your cells. Essentials is loaded with essential vitamins, minerals and gut loving probiotics and enzymes.

Hydrate. While it may be tempting to throw back a couple of cold ones or enjoy a sugary beverage because you are in “vacation mode” it’s not always the best idea. After all, you want to feel your best when you get to your destination and one way to help ensure you do is to drink plenty of water.

Travel in Comfort
Let’s talk about temperature. Depending on your travel situation your co-travelers may have a different opinion of the ideal temperature which can leave you to feel overheated or too cold. Layers are indeed your friend. Bring a nice light puff jacket that easily fits into a bag. This key item will keep you warm when you are too cool, act as a small blanket or roll up into a small pillow. It’s multifunctional!

Temperature isn’t the only thing you need to worry about while on the go, noise is likely to come into play as well, especially if you are on a plane. A handy set of noise-canceling headphones will allow you to rest without distraction.

Enjoy Entertainment
Yes, you have a variety of options when it comes to entertainment, just as long as you are not the driver. There are audiobooks, movies, your favorite playlists and more. What about a little more meaningful entertainment though? Travel is a great time to turn inward and do a little reflecting. It’s the perfect time to journal. Of course, journaling will take up a very small amount of your trip but it’s a great activity to get things rolling, clear negative feelings and start your vacation with a clean slate and free mind.

Feel Refreshed
There is something about traveling that leaves you feeling like you need a refreshing shower. While you can’t take a shower on the plane or in your car there are a few items you can throw in your handy bag to help you feel refreshed when you reach your final destination: natural baby wipes, deodorant, lip balm, natural hand sanitizer, your favorite essential oil, lotion, and mini mouthwash.

With this pro packed to-go bag, you will reach your final destination ready to rock your vacation. Enjoy your tip!
